The Location of Harry Potter movie

Australia House, The Strand, London
(Gringott’s Bank)


 This is the big Australian embassy building in Britain. This building was be built in 1913 and the architect who built this building is Alexander Marshall Mackenzie and his son. In the inside of this building, be used as a shooting location of Gringotts Bank in the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone film.   















Alnwick Castle, Northumberland
(Hogwarts, outside scenes)


The outside of this castle was be used for Hogwarts. Actually, the owner of this building is Duke of Northumbeland. Many parts from this castle which is open to public. Moreover the Robin Hood film : Prince of Thives also had shooting in this location.
























Bodleian Library, Oxford
(Hogwarts interiors)


other than using studio, The inside part of Hogwarts also shoot in Bodleian Library, which is that library already built in 1602. This is the rare library and historic because there are many ancient text and 8 million historic objects.. Could be J.K Rowling also formerly of oxford students, because he always visit this library. 


























Christ Church, Oxford
(Hogwarts, The Great Hall)
 This church has been there from the 16th century and also is one of the constituent university in Oxford. 13 British Prime Minister ever go to school here. In addition to being the location filming Harry Potter, the inside of the building was also the filming location Brideshead Revisited, and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and the Northern Lights, a sequel to The Golden Compass.



























Durham Cathedral

Founded in the 11th century, not wrong if the cathedral was chosen because it has classic architecture and beautiful. Because it's so beautiful, the cathedral is protected by UNESCO. In Durham and surrounding areas, the cathedral has become a favorite tourist attraction.

When in the first movie, second, and sixth you see Harry Potter is running around the corridors of Hogwarts, that the corridor is located in the cathedral. A 17th-century cathedral was founded. Some parties do not like this place used as a shooting location for films deemed contrary to the story of religion.
























Leadenhall Market, London
(Diagon Alley)


Where we must go to buy magic needs? Into Diagon Alley, or the Muggle known as the Leadenhall Market. This market is already there from the 14th century and closed on Saturday-Sunday. Beautiful architecture built in the 19th century and now a tourist attraction.


















Lacock Abbey, Wiltshire

 Some of the Hogwarts interior scenes also filmed in this monastery, especially when Harry frees Dobby scenes. In the second film is also several scenes in this sixth film. Also the movie of The Other Boleyn Girl has also been filmed here.
 




















SO, what do u think? cool huh? wooaa! my opinion, the Harry Potter especially the locations are very very cool!! i hope i can go there someday.. ^^
